Grey start to a grey COVID year. The old grey man had his 61st birthday today and we went to Barrow Tanks with a flask and a sandwich. Through the gloom and drizzle a Great Northern Diver cut through the murky surface right in front of us. It was in the distance by the time I got the camera out. Ah well. Things can only get better.
